Web access troubleshooting

1: Known issue

Due to differing speeds in Internet Connections, the Driver Portal may sometimes fail to load correctly the first time you launch it. If you are seeing this message rather than the Driver Portal, please close this page with the X in the top right corner, and try again using the blue "Driver Portal" link on the Our World page.

2: Trusted Sites

If you need to add the Driver Portal to your trusted sites in Internet Explorer, and you have the necessary administrator rights to your machine, please follow the steps below which has been known to resolve some issues for some users:

Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites > Add this Web site to the zone: "https://*.zenith.co.uk" > Add > OK > OK

3: Older versions of Internet Explorer

We know that a number of service desk requests assigned to Our World relate to colleagues using older versions of Internet Explorer browsers (versions 6 or lower). Internet Explorer 6 is now a very old browser and is no longer judged to be secure.

We therefore recommend that you use the current version of Internet Explorer to correctly browse Our World. The correct version with the latest service pack is available for download and installation by Clicking Here.

Instructions

  • Click on the link above
  • Click the Download button on the page to start the download, or choose a different language from the drop-down list and click Go.
  • Do one of the following:
    1. To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
    2. To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.

We recommend you use a broadband connection or download from a Serco office location. If you are unable to perform the installation due to your system not having sufficient privileges to download/install software then please contact your local IT team to have this installed.

To check which version of Internet Explorer you are using, go to Help > About Internet Explorer.
