Salary sacrifice used cars

We only select used cars from our own stock, so we know their complete history. They all undergo the AA Safety Inspection before getting the Zenith quality seal. Our seal of excellence ensures that all the cars in the scheme are functional, reliable, and presentable.

As with all used cars, general wear and tear may be present in line with the car’s mileage and age.

We aim to deliver your car with 50% fuel or charge, so you can hit the open road right away.

Keys

At least one working key will be provided on delivery.

What to expect with our used cars

Exterior
    • Paintwork scratches of more than 5mm will be polished out, touched in, or re-painted.
    • Some superficial bodywork imperfections (i.e. stone chips) may be present.
    • The car will be free from dents and corrosion.
    • Glass and lenses will be free from cracks and scratches, there may be some condensation in head and taillights.
    • Minor (less than 5mm) windscreen chips may be present, but acceptable in accordance with MOT legislation.
    • Tyres will have a minimum of 3mm depth of tread remaining (1.6mm is the legal limit).
    • Wheels and trims will be free from visible defects such as dents, cracks and rim damage.
    • All fluids will be checked and topped up in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Interior
    • Plastic interiors, such as door and boot thresholds, back of seats and boot trim will be cleaned and free from excessive damage. Reasonable wear is to be expected in line with the car’s age.
    • All electrical controls and equipment (such as aircon, audio/infotainment systems, satnav) will be checked and in full working order.
    • Fabric interiors will be cleaned and free from any excessive damage i.e. holes. However reasonable wear is to be expected in line with the cars age.

AA Safety Inspection

Only once a car has passed the AA Safety Inspection will it be added to our salary sacrifice stock. During the inspection, a qualified engineer will conduct a road test, as well as the checks on the following components:

  • Driver comfort and controls – seat controls, climate controls, mirrors, wipers, infotainment and navigation systems, hazard warning lights, parking brake, cameras and reverse systems, start process and message illumination.
  • Under bonnet – all fluids such as break, coolant, and screen wash.
  • All exterior fittings – brakes, key fob, windscreen, lock, charge port, and suspension ride height.
  • All interior fittings – seat and headlining condition, seatbelts, lighting, and window operation.
  • Wheels and tyres – testing of condition including tread e.g. shock absorber, anti-roll bar, and coil spring.
  • Lights – all lights will be in working order.
  • Battery and electrics – vehicle charge acceptance, vehicle charging cable, and ready indicator.

Everything you need to know about delivery

We deliver used cars as soon as possible and will be in touch with more details after the order has been processed. While we’re unable to provide exact lead times, most cars are delivered within 14 days (subject to approval and processing). 

All cars are delivered with a full valet inside and out, with at least one working key included and EV drivers will also receive a public charging cable, that is also suitable if you have a chargepoint fitted at home.

What to expect on delivery day

Our 7-day return promise

We’re so confident about the quality and performance of our used cars that we offer a 7-day return on every car.  If for any reason you are not happy with your car, let us know and we will try to resolve the issue.

If we cannot resolve the issue, we’ll come and collect it from the address it was delivered to completely free of charge, providing:

  • The car is in the same condition as when it was delivered and has no alterations/modifications. You will be charged for any damage.
  • You do not drive more than 200 miles within the 7-day return period. If you exceed this amount, you will be charged £1 per mile.
  • The car does not have any third-party charges or claims, such as parking fines or speeding fines (any associated costs will be charged to you).
  • All keys, charging cables, documentation, driver packs, locking wheel nuts and other accessories are returned (the cost of replacing these may be deducted).
  • If the car has been involved in an accident or is the subject of any insurance claims, you will not be able to return the car.

 

We reserve the right to refuse the return of the car if these conditions are not met. After collection, any deductions that have been made from your salary will be refunded. You will be responsible for any charges incurred due to the above conditions.
