New package boosts uptime
Zenith, the UK’s leading independent leasing, fleet management and vehicle outsourcing business, has secured a major new contract to provide maintenance, repair, and fleet support services to Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Programme.
Under the agreement, Zenith will deploy mobile service technicians and its extensive third-party repair network to support DSPs operating from Amazon Delivery Stations, nationwide, delivering on‑site repairs and preventative maintenance designed to keep vehicles on the road.
To maximise uptime and reduce unplanned downtime, Zenith technicians also carry out vehicle health checks. These preventative maintenance inspections identify wear and tear issues early, helping DSPs maximise the availability of their fleet, and deliver for their customers.
The tailored service will be rolled out to more than 1,000 vehicles over the next three-months, providing DSPs with predictable maintenance costs and fleet support through a competitively priced fixed cost package. This enables DSPs to access professional fleet support while focusing on their operations.
The partnership marks another step in Zenith’s strategy to deliver customer-led propositions for its Commercial operations.
This is an innovative model that reimagines how maintenance support can be delivered in the final mile market, and we’re delighted to participate in the DSP Programme and engage with the business owners to scale it across UK Delivery Stations in Amazon’s network.
This solution is a first for both DSPs and Amazon, giving business owners complete cost certainty, while our onsite technicians significantly improve fleet availability by minimising the ‘mean time to repair’. The early results are extremely encouraging - we’ve seen data showing a 20% uplift in fleet availability for some DSPs within just a few weeks of going live.
