Inclusion everywhere

We value difference in our colleagues and represent the customers and communities we serve.

At the heart of Zenith is our thriving culture. We want to create an environment where every colleague can be the best version of themselves, and our equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) strategy is a key driver of this.

One of the five pillars of our People Promise is ‘thriving culture – inclusion everywhere’, and that is what we mean; every team, every level, everywhere. That’s what inclusion everywhere at Zenith is all about.

Since its launch in 2021, our ED&I strategy has had a clear mission -
to value the difference in our colleagues and to reflect the customers and communities we serve.

The Zenith Census

We launched our Zenith Census in April 2022 with the aim of better understanding the diversity of our colleagues. In our first year, not only have 70% of colleagues shared their data with us, but we have already seen measurable progress in a number of our focus areas.

Inclusion education workshops

All leaders in our business are undergoing an inclusion education programme over the next two years – this is about helping everyone to be more aware and understand their role in our journey.

The education programme invites colleagues to an immersive workshop and is designed to encourage constructive challenge, and to drive a culture of conscious inclusion. The programme has been designed in conjunction with a diversity and inclusion consultant. All activity is based on best practice and will drive a measurable difference.

Inclusion month

In October 2022, we held Inclusion Month, our big bang approach to all things inclusion. It was an entire month of events designed to encourage conversation and acknowledge the value of difference. We welcomed renowned guest speakers from all walks of life, held ground-breaking panel discussions to raise awareness of important topics, and concluded the month with a live Q&A feedback session with our chief people officer.

Focus groups

We have six inclusion focus groups (gender, age, LGBTQIA+, race, religion and ethnicity, disability (Zenability), and neurodiversity) – led by our colleagues and sponsored by our Board. Their role is to raise awareness and encourage better understanding, implementing initiatives and campaigns that improve representation.
