OUR VISION

To operate as a net zero business – a better Zenith where we work together to help rebuild, strengthen, and preserve the planet.

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR

  • 2021

Proudly certified as a Carbon Neutral organisation for the first time by offsetting our Scope 1, Scope 2, and operational Scope 3 emissions.

  • 2022

Issued the UK vehicle leasing sector’s largest ever green bond, committing to spending £475 million by January 2024 on BEVs. We’re proud to say that we went above and beyond this, spending £672 million on BEVs and avoiding 14,542tCO2e in the first 18 months.

  • 2023

We reduced our direct emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 29.6% compared to the previous year. This was mainly achieved by the rapid transition of our own company car fleet to BEV, which surpassed 80% in 2023 (go us!).

Mark Wilson, Sustainability Manager

“Climate change is now part of our lived experience. Urgent action is required at a policy, industry, community, and individual level to prevent the worst effects.

People Powered Impact is our approach to helping ensure a liveable future for us all.

We are committed to achieving net zero through innovative collaboration across the industry. From decarbonising our customers’ fleets and integrating circular economy practices with our suppliers, to developing partnerships to safeguard and strengthen nature, we will take all the necessary actions we can to create a healthier, balanced planet.”

Our net zero commitment

In 2021, we committed to reach net zero through the Science Based Targets initiative as a Business Ambition for 1.5 degrees signatory (the most ambitious target available to help limit average global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees, no biggie!). Over the last two years we’ve been analysing our GHG emissions to identify the steps we must take to ensure we reach net zero. We’re proud to say that we submitted our near-term reduction and net zero targets to SBTi in January 2024. We’re currently working through the validation process with SBTi and will communicate our progress on this page.
