Zenith has taken the lead by offering agile working to all of its 1,000 colleagues in a move that will boost their wellbeing and productivity.
The move empowers all colleagues to decide where and when they work by balancing the requirements of customers, the team, and personal needs.
Zenith has invested in technology, training and facilities to enable colleagues to make agile working effective.
Commenting on the move, Stuart Price, chief people officer at Zenith, said: “We know in our market that our agility and adaptability help us to develop and stay ahead of the competition. The ability to out-think and out-perform and to provide the best possible service to our customers is vital. Our Agile Working Policy applies this spirit to how, when and where we work at Zenith, affording greater flexibility and agility to everyone whose role can work flexibly around our customer’s and team’s needs.
“We have moved quickly to give colleagues certainty and help to attract new talent to Zenith. Our approach is truly agile and allows colleagues to choose where they work rather than allocating certain days of the week.”
Each team will determine how the agile policy can be applied within their business area to enable maximum flexibility to as many colleagues as possible while delivering outstanding service and enhancing business performance.
Zenith was advancing plans for flexible working before the pandemic, with growing numbers choosing to blend working from home and the office. The model advanced over the last 18 months as the benefits to colleagues and customers became clear.
Stuart Price concluded: “We are training leaders to help them with the new agile approach and recognise that these changes aren’t easy. Our middle and senior leaders will make this a success because it’s a culture rather than a process. Zenith believes that there are measurable benefits of both office and remote or home working. In a nutshell, we see agile as bringing the best of the office with the best of working elsewhere together.”
